Marc Basara
Marc has fifteen years of commercial real estate experience in construction, investment management
and development from his previous capacities at Rebound Partners, ACKERBERG and Weis Builders, Inc.
His body of work has provided exposure to a broad spectrum of investment types, classes and delivery
strategies – particularly fund management, tax credit financing, and modular construction/development
– which come together to benefit the Phoenix Group’s dynamic portfolio of work and pipeline.
To successfully facilitate his work, Marc has established a track record of maintaining effective
relationships and collaborating with joint venture partners, lenders and capital investors; federal, state
and local officials; architects, general contractors and industry vendors.
Marc holds a Master of Science degree from St. Thomas University in Real Estate, and a Bachelor of
Science degree from Iowa State University in Construction Engineering. He is LEED Accredited
Professional though the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), is a Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) designee and has served on the Minnesota/Dakotas CCIM Chapter Board
(2025 Chapter President).
Outside of work, Marc enjoys family time with his wife and children. Together, they frequently seek
outdoor activity, whether it is summer lake time, winter snow sports, hiking, finding a beach, golfing or
just playing ball in the front yard. Encouraging exploration of new and adventurous activities with his
wife and children is one of his true joys.
